  • Facilitates intensive outpatient (IOP) and traditional outpatient programs and services for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health conditions (i.e. post-traumatic stress disorder), such as group, individual and family therapy as well as case management for caseload of individual client services.

We are looking for a Billing and Collections Specialist to join our Corporate team. The Billing and Collections Specialist is a key member of our team and will assist in coordinating the billing and collection operations for Forge Health’s five (and growing) facilities across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. You are responsible for working with the Medical Billing Manager to ensure the following is completed in a timely manner: billing insurance companies for all billable procedures, pursuing collection of all claims until payment is made by insurance companies, and performing other work associated with the billing process (e.g. payment posting, denials). You will also perform critical billing functions including but not limited to eligibility verification and denial management to maximize revenue collections.

Essential and Non-Essential Functions, Principal and Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitates intensive outpatient (IOP) and traditional outpatient programs and services for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health conditions (i.e. post-traumatic stress disorder), such as group, individual and family therapy as well as case management for caseload of individual client services.
  • Responsible for assessing client for substance abuse and mental health needs using DSM criteria.
  • Completion of Initial Assessments for clients, as well as assessing for appropriate level of care.
  • Obtain and review records relevant to the current treatment episode, and contact to relevant referral sources, family or outside systems as needed.
  • Prepare (as needed) and maintain treatment plan and necessary revisions, in conjunction with the case manager.
  • Coordinate with discharge planner regarding continuing care and recommendations for discharge.
  • Documentation of all counseling services in clinical records.
  • Maintain all necessary logs required for administrative tracking.
  • Complete relevant state-required work for clients on your caseload.
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team assigned to the client and participate in case management meetings.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling.
  • Communicate with family members, attorneys, EAPS, doctors or other outside resources, as needed, within provision of consent to release documents, and document all communications.
  • Initiate releases, contracts for safety or any other necessary documents as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and other functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with first responders in the field of substance abuse and mental health required.
  • Connecticut licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LCADC (CADC with significant experience will be considered).

Essential and Non-Essential Functions, Principal and Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and produce video, audio, images, infographic and written content that reaches and engages consumers while supporting SEO strategy and best practices. Channels include Social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), email, search, website, and webinars
  • Develop and implement a content calendar that is in alignment with industry moments and company’s strategy
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop best-in-class content for the company
  • Curates/re-purposes content from across markets to maximize efficiency in content creation
  • Works closely with internal and external partners to create compelling digital content for earned, owned, shared and paid that can be scaled both locally and regionally
  • Oversee and manage content workflows, routing and posting for integrated communications to create and execute on digital campaigns
  • Creates and publishes real-time content and engagements targeted to specific audiences that are based in data-driven marketing

Position Requirements

  • Experience with and understanding of SEO principles and application to content
