People who need support and structure often find it helpful. Although sober living homes are helpful, they are not always the best way for some people to find help. They may want to try living on their own or with family but with structured support from intensive outpatient programs (IOP) which offer solid structure without living in an inpatient facility.

Although longer stays can work for some people, shorter stays work fine for others. The goal is to find what works for each person and encourage full participation and connection to the process the entire time they are doing the program. With this in mind, they can focus on having a better recovery with support from loved ones.
