Strive Health and Veteran and First Responder Healthcare, (VFR), will be providing free confidential crisis counseling to those seeking help in dealing with the recent events affecting the transgender military community. Support will be available in person at Strive facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and via a hotline phone number: 888-224-7312.
The organizations, Strive and VFR, are forming a national network to provide trauma-informed treatment services for mental health and addiction issues. As family and veteran-owned companies, Strive and VFR provide specialized treatment programming specifically created for the veteran and active duty military communities.

Partnership with Outserve-SLDN
As part of their long-term support for the LGBT community, Strive and VFR Healthcare are in theprocess of partnering with OutServe-Service members Legal Defense Network (SLDN). OutServe-SLDN is a non-partisan, non-profit (501-c-3), legal services, watchdog, and policy organization that provides free and direct legal assistance to service members and veterans affected by the repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law, the current ban on open authentic transgender service and those currently serving who may experience harassment or discrimination.
OutServe-SLDN Executive Director Matt Thorn stated:
